Idaho’s Liberty Bell Coming to Idaho City During Idaho City Days

IDAHO CITY, Idaho — Idaho City will welcome a special piece of Idaho and American history on Saturday, October 3, when Idaho’s Liberty Bell makes a stop in the community as part of its 2026 statewide tour.

The Bell will be on display at 101 Main Street from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., coinciding with Idaho City Days. Residents and visitors are invited to stop by and see the Bell during its four-hour visit.

Idaho’s Liberty Bell is a full-size replica of the original Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. It was created in 1950 as part of a national U.S. Treasury campaign and traveled throughout Idaho before being formally presented to the people of the state. It was permanently installed at the Idaho State Capitol in 1951 and has remained an important Idaho historic artifact for more than 75 years. Following a professional restoration, the Bell is traveling Idaho again as part of the America250 in Idaho initiative, giving communities throughout the state an opportunity to experience the historic artifact firsthand.

“We’re excited to have Idaho’s Liberty Bell in Idaho City during Idaho City Days,” said Mayor Ryan Heffington. “It’s a unique opportunity for our community to see an important piece of Idaho history right here in town, and we hope residents and visitors will come out and be part of it.”

Idaho City is the Bell’s only scheduled stop on October 3, allowing it to remain in the community for an extended four-hour visit.

The City encourages residents and visitors to enjoy Idaho City Days and take advantage of this unique opportunity to see an important piece of Idaho history.
